Karen Alexius-Eifert, the current deputy for the department of education and social affairs in Bottrop, Germany, has been serving the city for a remarkable 25 years. Her journey began in 2000 as a trainee city inspector, and since then, she has climbed the ranks to become the director of her department since 2018.

Alexius-Eifert's department includes several key units: the school and daycare department, the social welfare office, the youth welfare office, the job center for Bottrop, and the migration - communal integration center. Her leadership has been praised for its great commitment and foresight, as noted by Mayor Bernd Tischler.

The city's first deputy, Emilio Pintea, and Mayor Tischler also described Alexius-Eifert as a "crisis manager," commending her for her exceptional management during the challenging times of the corona pandemic. Carsten Pietroscewsky, the chairman of the personnel council, echoed these sentiments, recalling the great challenges during the pandemic that Alexius-Eifert had mastered with great care.

One of the significant challenges Alexius-Eifert faced was the accommodation of refugees, a task she handled with utmost diligence, as acknowledged by Pietroscewsky. He also praised the good and trusting cooperation between Alexius-Eifert and the personnel council.

Alexius-Eifert's colleagues, including Pietroscewsky, congratulated her on behalf of the personnel council, with Pietroscewsky expressing his gratitude for being able to fulfill her task for the people in the city. Alexius-Eifert herself thanked everyone for the opportunity and expressed her gratitude for being able to serve the city of Bottrop.

In addition to her role as the deputy for the department of education and social affairs, Alexius-Eifert has also held the position of Head of the Digital Marketing Department since July 2022. A graduate administrator by profession, Alexius-Eifert continues to make significant contributions to the city of Bottrop, demonstrating her versatility and dedication to her work.
