Inner-city culprits were apprehended by authorities following a break-in incident.
In the early hours of August 19th, 2025, a break-in burglary occurred at a clothing store in Sandstraße, Lübeck, Germany. The incident was reported to the authorities around 1:00 AM.
Upon arrival, officers from the District Criminal Inspectorate of Lübeck initiated investigations on suspicion of aggravated burglary. The suspect, a 42-year-old resident of Lübeck, allegedly forced the door to the store.
During the course of the investigation, the Criminal Police conducted a trace examination at both the suspect's residence and the clothing store. Near the store, the police found clothing, suggesting that the stolen items may be valued at a mid- to high four-figure sum.
The suspect was apprehended near the clothing store. However, at the time of the report, it was believed that the suspect was still inside the store. The suspect was taken into custody for questioning.
Anna Julia Meyer, the Press Spokesperson for the Police Directorate of Lübeck, confirmed the incident and stated that the investigating officer leading the case of the suspected severe burglary in the clothing store on Sandstraße on 19.08.2025 is from the Lübeck District Criminal Investigation Department.
