Inquiring about strategies to target the Israeli embassy?

A Russian citizen, whose identity remains undisclosed, was arrested at Berlin Brandenburg Airport in February for suspected terrorist activities. The Federal Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against the individual, accusing them of supporting a terrorist organization abroad and preparing a serious act of violence endangering the state.

The suspect is alleged to have translated propaganda material for IS into Russian and Chechen, and provided instructions for committing a violent act. However, details about the suspect's involvement with IS and the outcome of the trial are not specified in this article.

The Federal Prosecutor's Office took over the investigation from the Brandenburg General Prosecutor's Office, following the initial arrest. The suspect was brought to Karlsruhe for a hearing in early June, where a judge at the Federal Court of Justice issued a new arrest warrant.

The suspect is accused of attempting to join a terrorist organization abroad and planning an attack on the Israeli embassy in Berlin. From early February 2025, the suspect reportedly planned to carry out an attack in Germany. However, the bomb plot, if any, has not been confirmed or detailed in this article.

To finance his trip to Pakistan, the suspect sold two expensive smartphones he had obtained through mobile phone contracts. Shortly before his departure, the suspect sent a video with an oath of allegiance to IS to a suspected IS member abroad.

The suspect could not implement his attack plan due to the inability to obtain necessary components. The State Security Senate of the Berlin Court of Appeals will decide whether to allow the indictment. If the indictment is allowed, the Berlin Court of Appeals will also set dates for a trial.

The suspect has been in custody since his arrest. The arrest occurred on February 20th, while the suspect was on his way to boarding. The search results do not provide information about a specific person accused by the Karlsruhe public prosecutor's office in 2025 for supporting a suspect intending to join the Islamic State and planning an attack on the Israeli embassy in Berlin.

This is a developing story and more information will be provided as it becomes available. The Federal Prosecutor's Office is working diligently to ensure the safety and security of the German people.
