Unidentified Perpetrator Makes Unauthorized Withdrawals in Thuringia
Thuringia Police are seeking the public's help in identifying an unidentified individual who made unauthorized withdrawals from a victim's account in January 2025.
The first unauthorized withdrawal occurred on 8th January, 2025, in Aue, Suhl, amounting to 1,700 euros. On the following day, 9th January, 500 euros were withdrawn from an ATM at the Fischmarkt in Erfurt. The series of unauthorized withdrawals continued on 10th January, with another 500 euros being taken from an ATM at Dessauer StraΓe in Halle.
The total amount stolen was 2,700 euros, and the perpetrator's method of obtaining the bank card remains currently unknown. The State Police Inspectorate Erfurt has stated that the withdrawals were made without the perpetrator obtaining the bank card's ownership or authorization.
Surveillance camera footage of the unauthorized withdrawal in Erfurt has been published following a court order. The location of the surveillance footage publication is still Erfurt, Germany. Anyone with information on the identity of the person in the Erfurt surveillance footage is asked to call 03681369-0 and quote file number 0011426/2025.
