A fire is currently raging in Waiblingen, Rems-Murr district, with thick smoke visible from a distance. The Integrated Control Center Rems-Murr has issued guidelines for the public to follow.

The fire was first reported to the police around 4 pm, and it is currently ongoing at a building on Eisentalstraße. The building belongs to a paint and varnish manufacturer. The fire department has a large contingent on the scene, working diligently to extinguish the blaze.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and no injuries have been reported so far. The emergency services advise avoiding the affected area and keeping all access routes to the fire site clear. In case of emergency, only emergency numbers 110 (police) and 112 (fire department) should be called.

The public is urged to follow the instructions of the emergency services. The owner of the affected building is the operator of the car workshop that burned down. A donation campaign has been launched for this workshop operator, indicating they own the property.

Elsewhere, the first top game of the Fußball-Kreisliga A, Staffel 2 featured two outstanding goalkeepers and a flood of cards.
