CCI Fulda Makes It to the World Finals of a Global Competition

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Fulda has made history as the first chamber in Germany to be selected for the world finals of a global competition. The prestigious honour was bestowed upon the CCI Fulda at the 14th World Chambers Congress in Melbourne, where they competed in the "Best out-of-the-box project" category.

IHK CEO, Michael Konow, led the presentation of the CCI Fulda's groundbreaking project to over 1,000 delegates from more than 100 countries. The project, which was not typically associated with their daily tasks and goals, focused on fostering a love for work, flat hierarchies, transparency, and un-bureaucratic projects.

CEO Konow expressed pride in the achievement and looked forward to the future with great momentum. He took the opportunity to thank his team and the honorary office, including Dr. Christian Gebhardt, for their significant support.

The CCI Fulda's new approach aims to make the organization more member-oriented, approachable, and modern. Their initiatives, which are gaining nationwide attention, include the adoption of modern management approaches aligned with New-Work principles, the creation of a psychologically safe environment for employees, and the encouragement of openness and idea generation.

In response to the Corona pandemic, the CCI Fulda also developed virtual self-help exchange platforms for entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, their communications team initiated a prize for environmentally friendly night lighting in companies. An apprentice at the CCI Fulda even proposed transforming their building into a 'window of diversity' for the national diversity day.

Despite narrowly missing the win in the competition, the CCI Fulda's innovative project has undoubtedly put them on the map as a trailblazer in the chamber industry. The 5-minute pitch, delivered by CEO Konow, showcased the CCI Fulda's commitment to pushing boundaries and creating a more dynamic and member-focused environment.
