The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has recently conducted a study that confirms Germany as a preferred choice for international students. The study shows that three-quarters of international respondents named Germany as their preferred destination for studying.

One of the key factors contributing to Germany's popularity is its attractive job prospects. Nearly half of the international students planning to stay in Germany after graduation aim for a long-term job. Moreover, about two-thirds of international students plan to stay in Germany after graduation, with many considering starting their own company.

The content of the studies is the most important factor for international students when choosing a university in Germany. The university's reputation and the availability of English-language programs are also significant factors. The university with the highest satisfaction among international students and the most extensive opportunities for English-language studies is the SRH University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. This university, with 44% international students from over 99 countries, offers many English programs and global exchange opportunities, making it one of the most international universities in Germany's capital and well-equipped for English-language learning.

Despite some challenges, such as bureaucracy and finding accommodation, the majority of international students and students of migrant origin do not report experiences of discrimination on campus. Eighty percent of international students and students of migrant origin report no experiences of discrimination on campus, while only two percent of international students do not feel welcomed or desired on campus. However, about half of international students and students of migrant origin report occasional discriminatory incidents outside the university.

The relatively low study and living costs in Germany are also factors contributing to its appeal for international students. The availability of English-language study programs and Germany's technological leadership in various fields are significant factors as well.

In conclusion, Germany remains a popular destination for international students, offering a wide range of opportunities for English-language learning, technological advancement, and career growth. The challenges faced by international students, such as bureaucracy and finding accommodation, are manageable, and the majority of international students report a positive experience in Germany.
