Intervention Program for Young Substance Abusers - New Training Initiative by Arnsberg City's Addiction Prevention Department within the Family Office

The Family Office of the city of Arnsberg is hosting a three-day professional development course titled "Youth and Addiction - Move". This seminar, which focuses on teaching practical conversation techniques to encourage young people to embrace change, particularly regarding risky consumption behaviors, will take place over three Thursdays in November at the premises of a bus stop in the city.

The course, offered in cooperation with the HSK Crime Prevention Office, provides valuable background knowledge on substance use and addiction. It is designed for professionals from Arnsberg and Sundern who work with young people who consume (risky) substances.

Participants will learn effective conversation techniques that emphasize respectful and resource-oriented interaction. Upon successful completion of the course, they will receive a certificate from the State Coordination Office for Drug Prevention in NRW, Ginko Foundation for Prevention.
