Intoxicated motorist collides with a tree, accidentally kills a cat
In an unfortunate incident that occurred on Saturday evening, a 46-year-old woman was found to be driving under the influence in Lindenstraße, Rielasingen-Worblingen.
According to the Konstanz Police Headquarters, the woman was operating a Hyundai and, around 10:40 PM, she brushed a tree and ran over a cat. The cat's owner, notified by neighbours, took care of the dead cat, and the extent of the damage to the tree remains unknown.
The woman was found on the parking lot of an inn by responding officers. Subsequent tests revealed that her blood alcohol level was over 2 promille. As a result, she was taken to the hospital, where she had to give two blood samples.
The woman showed no remorse for the incident. Apart from her driver's license, the police kept her car keys.
