Introducing 50 VolgaBus vehicles in Yakutsk City
Yakutsk Introduces 174 Modern VolgaBus 5270GH Buses to Public Transportation System
The city of Yakutsk is investing in new public transportation infrastructure, with the purchase of 174 modern VolgaBus 5270GH buses. This announcement was made by the Department of Road Infrastructure and Transport of the city of Yakutsk.
The buses, which will operate on city routes in Yakutsk, are part of the state program "Development of the Transport Complex of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)". From 2022 to 2024, a total of 124 new buses have been delivered to the capital and regions of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
Yakutsk Mayor Evgeny Grigoryev and the first deputy mayor Vladimir Dorozhkin have played a significant role in this bus procurement process. In response to the growing demand for efficient and comfortable public transportation, Mayor Grigoryev instructed the first deputy mayor to purchase 50 modern VolgaBus 5270GH buses.
These large-class buses, with 27 seating places, are designed for 65 passengers and will be adapted for northern conditions with double glazing and additional salon heaters. The buses will use compressed natural gas (CNG), which meets modern environmental standards, ensuring a sustainable and eco-friendly transportation solution.
The buses have been successfully tested in northern conditions and proven in operation. They will improve transportation quality, reduce travel intervals, and ensure passenger comfort and safety in harsh climates. The new buses will also contribute to strategic tasks for developing urban infrastructure in Yakutsk.
The delivery and implementation of these buses are overseen by the Yakutsk City Administration. The buses will continue to operate on city routes in Yakutsk, providing residents and visitors with a more comfortable and efficient public transportation experience.
While the name of the person who will sign the agreement for the purchase of the new VolgaBus 5270GH buses in the future if Evgeny Grigoryev is unavailable is not provided, it is clear that the city of Yakutsk is committed to improving its public transportation system. The introduction of these modern buses is a significant step towards this goal.
