Investment of $4 Million in AI-driven Technology for Detection Purposes Secured

Pangram, a company specialising in AI detection technology, has announced the successful completion of a seed funding round, securing over $2.7 million. This investment comes on top of the pre-seed funding of $1.25 million, bringing the total funding to $3.98 million.

The funding will be utilised to develop partnerships in higher education institutions and expand the existing customer and partner base. The company's focus remains on helping educational institutions address AI misuse among students, while continuing to support businesses and media organisations in establishing the authenticity of written material.

Max Spero, Co-Founder and CEO of Pangram, expressed his gratitude towards the investors, stating that they recognise the potency and accuracy of Pangram's technology. Spero, who previously worked as an AI engineer at Google, is joined by Co-Founder and CTO Bradley Emi, a former machine learning engineer at Tesla. Both Spero and Emi hold master's degrees in computer science from Stanford University.

The seed round was led by ScOp, with Script Capital and Cadenza participating, along with individual investors. Previously, Haystack VC was a lead investor in the initial, pre-seed funding round.

The success of this round can be attributed to investor excitement about the market opportunity and the accuracy of the technology. Bradley Emi explained that the independent studies on Pangram's AI detection technology, involving researchers from Stanford University, MIT, and the University of California, Berkeley, consistently prove it to be the most accurate.

Pangram's technology is considered essential for identifying AI text with confidence across education, business, and the media sectors. As the company continues to gain customers and improve its value proposition, the investors are standing with Pangram in its mission to combat AI misuse and promote authenticity in written content.
