Investments of up to 2.2 trillion rubles may lure 25 top-tier university campuses globally, according to VTB.

Russia is set to witness a significant surge in investments in university campuses over the next few years, with a potential total volume of additional investments reaching 750-800 billion rubles. This investment influx is expected to fund related projects in residential and commercial real estate.

According to plans, 25 world-class university campuses will be commissioned within the next six years, with a total investment of over 734 billion rubles. Currently, 11 of these projects are under construction across the country. Four of these, located in Chelyabinsk, Kaliningrad, Ufa, and Novosibirsk, have already been partially commissioned.

The Volga, Far Eastern, and Central federal districts are expected to receive the largest investments, totaling 158 billion, 148 billion, and 133 billion rubles respectively. The construction of 15 new campuses is planned in these districts.
