Iphone 17 release imminent: Anticipated features, camera improvements, color options, and projected launch date revealed

In a few months, Apple is set to unveil its latest offerings at its major annual product launch event in Cupertino, California. The much-anticipated iPhone 17 series is expected to make its debut, along with new versions of the AirPods Pro, Apple Watch, HomePod, and Apple TV devices.

The base model and Air versions of the iPhone 17 may offer less exciting colour options, with the base model featuring black, white, light blue, and pink, and the Air offering black, white, beige, and light blue. However, leaked photos by Sonny Dixon suggest that the Pro models could boast a more vibrant range, with orange, black, white, and dark blue as potential colour options.

The Pro models are rumoured to sport a trio of 48MP lenses, while the Air model will reportedly only have one rear camera.

In addition to the iPhone 17, Apple is expected to launch iOS 26, the nineteenth major release of its mobile platform. Named after the year it covers, iOS 26 brings a new Liquid Glass design, a big overhaul of the Photos app, and various Apple Intelligence updates, including Live Translation and a smarter Siri.

The new iPhones may also feature a selfie cam upgrade with 24MP lenses. The iPhone Fold, a foldable phone from Apple, is rumoured to be ready for production in 2026. This innovative device is expected to have four cameras and Touch ID instead of Face ID, with no SIM card.
