On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, an online seminar is being hosted by organic model regions in Lower Bavaria for farmers interested in transitioning to organic farming. This event, running from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, aims to provide valuable insights and support for those considering the switch to organic farming.

The event will kick off with an introduction to the Lower Bavarian organic model regions, followed by a presentation on the organic market by Holger Reising from LfL. Various practical farms from the region will share their experiences with organic farming, offering a first-hand perspective on the challenges and benefits of this farming method.

In addition, representatives from the farmers' association and the Office of Food, Agriculture, and Forestry will discuss their funding offers and activities. The umbrella organization of organic farming associations will also participate in the event, contributing to a comprehensive overview of the organic farming landscape.

For those with questions, Veronika Stanglmayr, the Landshut organic model region manager, can be contacted at [email protected] or Tel. 0871 408-2127.

It's worth noting that while approximately 11% of agricultural operations in Bavaria have switched to organic farming, Lower Bavaria is significantly below this average at 6.7%. This seminar offers a unique opportunity for farmers in the region to learn more about organic farming and the resources available to them.

Registration is required for the online seminar. More details about the supporting organisations and the registration process can be found on the event's official website. Don't miss out on this chance to learn more about organic farming and connect with like-minded individuals in your community.
