Israeli military launches attacks against Hezbollah locations within Lebanese borders
In a series of airstrikes on Sunday, the Israeli army reportedly targeted Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon. The airstrikes were confirmed by both local sources and the Israeli military.
The locations of these airstrikes included Arab al-Salim, Arnun, Yahmur al-Shqif, Habbush, Jebel Reyhan, Iqlim al-Tufah, and the Beaufort Ridge area. The Beaufort Ridge airstrikes, which occurred in the mountainous regions of southern Lebanon, specifically targeted a Hezbollah site.
The Israeli army stated that the airstrikes targeted military infrastructure, including underground infrastructure, at the Hezbollah site in the Beaufort Ridge area. The airstrikes also targeted underground facilities and infrastructure linked to Hezbollah in the Ali-Taher district near Nabatiyeh.
The strikes damaged a section of the Kfar Tibnit-Hardali highway in southern Lebanon, but did not result in any immediate reports of casualties or significant damage beyond the highway. Residents in the Ali-Taher district reported bombings in the area.
The exact nature and extent of the damage from the airstrikes on the Beaufort Ridge are not immediately available. The Israeli army has not specified the date of the airstrikes on the Beaufort Ridge, but the airstrikes on the Beaufort Ridge are in addition to those previously reported in the Ali-Taher district.
The Israeli military leadership ordered the airstrikes, although specific names of individuals who gave the order are not mentioned in the available sources. The Israeli army did not provide immediate reports of casualties from the airstrikes on the Beaufort Ridge.
This is not the first time that the Israeli army has been reported to be responsible for airstrikes in Lebanon. The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah continues to pose a significant threat to regional stability.
