Italy clinched a thrilling 5-4 victory against Israel in their World Cup qualifier match, with Moise Kean (40', 54'), Giacomo Raspadori (81'), and Sandro Tonali (90'+1) scoring for the Azzurri. Israel's Dor Peretz netted two goals (52', 89') in a valiant effort by the Blue and White.

Meanwhile, Switzerland maintained their position at the top of Group B with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Slovenia.
