Italy secures another victory with Gattuso at the helm - Sweden under pressure to respond
Italy clinched a thrilling 5-4 victory against Israel in their World Cup qualifier match, with Moise Kean (40', 54'), Giacomo Raspadori (81'), and Sandro Tonali (90'+1) scoring for the Azzurri. Israel's Dor Peretz netted two goals (52', 89') in a valiant effort by the Blue and White.
Meanwhile, Switzerland maintained their position at the top of Group B with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Slovenia. Breel Embolo (33'), Dan Ndoye (38'), and Nico Elvedi (18') were the scorers for the Swiss. Elvis Rexhbecaj (26') and Vedat Muriqi (42') also found the back of the net for Kosovo in their 2-0 win against Sweden.
Italy's second win under Gennaro Gattuso moved them up to second place in their qualifying group. Switzerland's victory over Slovenia, which saw no goals conceded, kept their Group B standing unchanged.
Matteo Politano (59') and Elvis Rexhbecaj (26') were the other goal scorers in the exciting round of World Cup qualifier matches.
