In a significant move for the raw materials sector, Cologne-based Metycle, a startup in the scrap and recycled metal industry, has announced a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing sustainable metal recycling processes.

Founded in 2022 by Rafael Suchan and Sebastian Brenner, Metycle positions itself as a "digital platform for international trading in scrap and recycled metal". The startup recently raised 14.1 million euros in funding, a significant boost for its operations.

The investment in Metycle was made by Urban Stack investor 2150, Project A Ventures, Partech, Market One Capital, Dutch Founders Fund (DFF), and business angels. The new funds will be used to further develop Metycle's data, software, and AI infrastructure in the metal recycling industry.
