FC Bayern Munich's pursuit of striker Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea is facing a new hurdle, as the transfer saga takes another unexpected turn.

Bayern's sporting director, Max Eberl, revealed that Chelsea had informed them they want Jackson back, following a previously agreed deal. The news comes after Liam Delap, Chelsea's striker, suffered a muscle injury during their 2:0 win against Fulham, and is expected to be out for several weeks.

The initial loan deal for Jackson, with an option to buy for the following season, was agreed upon for a fee of 15 million euros. However, with Chelsea potentially selling Jackson, the original loan deal is no longer an option.

Nicolas Jackson arrived in Munich for a medical check on Saturday evening, but the transfer is now on hold. The buyout sum for Jackson, as per the agreement, was set at 65 million euros.

Bayern is actively looking for reinforcements in the offensive following numerous departures. The parties, including club officials and advisors, are scheduled to meet on Sunday morning to discuss the possible signing of Jackson by FC Bayern Munich.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the transfer, Chelsea might still sign a striker by the transfer deadline on Monday. The fluid situation is subject to change, with the deadline for transfers rapidly approaching.
