Journal descendants of journalist Tatyana Vasilieva to conduct media briefing

In a tragic turn of events, Tatyana Vasilyeva (Simakova), a respected journalist who worked for the newspaper "Il Tumen", the press service of the Il Tumen, and Yakutia 24, lost her life in a traffic accident in September 2021. The pedestrian accident occurred at the intersection of Semen Danilova and Zhornitskogo streets.

Tatyana was an invalid of the second group and left behind two minor daughters, who are now orphans. Her sister has taken on the role of their guardian.

The driver responsible for the fatal accident was a 44-year-old operating an "Isuzu" mounter. However, there is no publicly available information about who hit Tatyana with the Isuzu Mounter and did not express condolences to her family.

The accident was reported to the traffic police on September 15, 2021, at 19:30. Despite this, the criminal case regarding Tatyana's death was denied twice by law enforcement agencies. Relatives, friends, and Tatyana's lawyer believe that the investigation into her death was careless and superficial.

They claim that law enforcement agencies did not try to establish the full picture of what happened. As a result, they intend to make a public appeal to the media, expressing their concerns and demanding justice for Tatyana.

A press conference regarding Tatyana's death will take place on Friday, April 12, at 11:00 am in Room 603 at the Public Center (House of Trade Unions) located at 24 Kurashova Street. Relatives, friends, and Tatyana's lawyer will participate in the press conference, sharing more details about the case and their quest for truth and justice.
