Kate Middleton's tribute to summer showcases her continued love for rural life.

Princess Catherine, also known as the Princess of Wales, shared a new video on August 13, 2022, as part of her Mother Nature series. The video, a celebration of summer, was posted on the Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The video begins with a voiceover from Princess Catherine, who mentions that summer is a season for abundance and growth. The footage includes images of sun-drenched scenes such as buzzing bees, people in gardens, and children playing in the sun. It's a touching ode to summer shared by Princess Catherine while she is on holiday with her family.

The more rural setting of Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, where the Waleses reside during the summer, seems to be ideal for the outdoorsy, nature-filled adventures that mean a lot to Kate Middleton. This relocation from Kensington Palace in London to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor in 2022 was believed to be inspired, in part, by a desire to get the family closer to nature.

In the video, Princess Catherine encourages viewers to ignite their inner fire, explore their creativity, passions, and dreams during summer. She also emphasizes the importance of friends and family coming together during this season.

The Mother Nature series was started earlier this year with the release of a Spring themed video, in which Princess Catherine shared that "nature has been my sanctuary" during her cancer treatment. This sentiment is reflected in the new summer video, as Kate Middleton's love for nature shines through.

The caption for the video on the Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales reads, "Our lives flourish when we cherish the bonds of love and friendship. It has never been more important to appreciate the value of one another and of Mother Nature. Here's to Summer."

Kate Middleton's ode to summer includes a touch of the outdoors, as seen in her 2011 royal wedding decorations with six 25-foot maple trees inside Westminster Abbey. The maple trees from her wedding were replanted in King Charles's Welsh holiday home.

Princess Catherine's love for the outdoors and nature is not new. In 2020, she shared on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast that her favorite family time involves everyone "outside in the countryside, and we're all filthy dirty."

The Princess of Wales, Kate, encourages people to savor every moment following her cancer diagnosis in March 2024. Her Mother Nature series is a testament to her resilience and her appreciation for the beauty and healing power of nature.
