To apply, interested individuals can download the application form or request it by calling 0641 306-1012. The completed application, along with a written confirmation from the respective association or organization, should be sent to the Magistrate of the University City of Gießen, Office for Magistrate, Information and Service, Berliner Platz 1, 35390 Gießen.

Eligibility for the Volunteer Card requires volunteers to have their primary residence in the University City of Gießen and to have been actively volunteering for at least three years or since the founding of the organisation, with an average of 5 weekly hours. The volunteer work must be oriented towards the common good.

It is important to note that no compensation is paid for the volunteer work associated with the Volunteer Card.
