Kids' Speeding Blitz: Negligence Leaves Cash Stolen from Cars, Minor Injured Crossing Road
In the quiet town of Langen, two separate incidents occurred that have left the community in shock.
On Thursday afternoon, around 5:20 PM, a seven-year-old girl was lightly injured while crossing the road on South Ring Road, at the 170s house numbers. The young girl was crossing the street with her 36-year-old mother, who was not paying due attention to the traffic. A collision ensued with a Ford Fiesta driven by a woman of the same age. Fortunately, no significant property damage was reported in the accident. The girl was promptly taken to a hospital for further medical treatment.
In a separate, unrelated incident, unknown individuals gained access to the basement area of a multi-family dwelling in Neckarstraße, Rodgau, between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. The intruders forced their way into the underground garage and broke into several basement storage units. Among the items stolen were four bicycles, a set of tires with aluminum rims, and various tools, totalling approximately 12,000 euros.
The police are actively investigating both incidents and are seeking witnesses. They urge anyone with information to direct it to the Heusenstamm police station. At this moment, there is no information available about which persons may have seen a black VW Passat with shortened taillights on Frankfurter Straße at 7 a.m. on Friday.
The community is asked to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities. Both incidents serve as a reminder to pay attention to traffic rules and to secure valuable possessions to prevent theft.
