In a concerning incident, a traffic accident occurred on the B31 near Uhldingen-Mühlhofen in the District of Bodenseekreis. The accident involved two vehicles: a BMW and an Audi.

According to initial reports, a 48-year-old driver of a BMW, for reasons not yet clarified, crossed into the opposite lane and collided side-on with an oncoming Audi. The driver showed signs of fatigue, and a preliminary investigation was initiated, including the confiscation of his driver's license on suspicion of endangering road traffic.

The driver of the Audi was a 41-year-old individual. Both vehicles were occupied, with the BMW carrying five people, and the Audi having two occupants. Regrettably, multiple injuries were reported as a result of the accident. Two ambulances and a paramedic were on the scene to treat and transport the injured. No new information about the extent or nature of injuries was provided.

The investigation is being coordinated with the responsible public prosecutor's office. Traffic was gradually rerouted around the scene, and the B31 was closed for approximately 3 hours for accident investigation and vehicle recovery. The total damage to the vehicles is estimated at approximately 25,000 euros.
