The Agricultural Technology Museum: A Journey Through Time
Discover the fascinating world of agricultural history at the Agricultural Technology Museum, located in the heart of Braunschweig, Germany. The museum, housed on a farm at the Freilichtmuseum am Kiekeberg, spans approximately 1400 square meters and is home to a vast collection of equipment used in agriculture from the first half of the 20th century.
The museum is open every Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00, from April to mid-December. However, appointments for visits outside of these hours can be arranged by contacting the museum. The collection is divided into eight departments: Soil Cultivation, Seeding and Fertilizer Technology, Plant Care and Plant Protection, Harvesting Technology, Harvest Processing, Power Machinery and Transport, Household Management, and a special section dedicated to the shift from animal-powered to combustion engine-driven equipment.
The Agricultural Technology Museum offers a unique opportunity to witness the transformation in agriculture through the emergence and evolution of technical equipment.
