Sunderland Secure Dramatic Win Against Brentford

Sunderland AFC claimed a hard-fought victory against Brentford in a thrilling Premier League encounter, securing their second win of the season. The game was a close one, with Sunderland coming from behind to win at the death.

RΓ©gis Le Bris, the Sunderland boss, acknowledged that the win was another tough game for his team, but was pleased with their performance. "The first half was positive for us, despite not scoring," Le Bris said. "We managed the open game in the second half positively."

The game started off with a goal for Brentford, scored by Igor Thiago. However, Sunderland managed to turn the tide in their favour. The win was secured with two late goals, an 82nd-minute penalty by Enzo Le Fee and a 96th-minute effort by Wilson Isidor.

Keith Andrews, the Brentford manager, tasted defeat again. He was not entirely pleased with his team's first-half performance, believing they could have played with more conviction and control. Andrews mentioned that his team has been practicing their penalties, but Kevin Schade missed an earlier penalty for Brentford, making it their second penalty miss in their last three spot-kicks.

Le Bris, on the other hand, regrets that Sunderland did not create many chances or score in the first half. "Players will miss penalties," Andrews said. "But we need to create more opportunities to score."

The win was a significant one for Sunderland, who last achieved the feat of winning both of their first two Premier League home games in the 2001-02 season. Le Bris is keeping a grounded perspective on the win, acknowledging it was settled by the finest of margins.

Brentford, on the other hand, suffered their second defeat of the season. They will look to bounce back in their next game, while Sunderland will aim to continue their good form in their upcoming fixtures.
