AC Milan have turned down a loan proposal from Bournemouth for 20-year-old Spanish full-back Alex Jimenez, which included an option to buy for £17m. The Italian giants are reportedly eyeing Manchester City's Manuel Akanji, a 30-year-old central defender, as a potential replacement.

Liverpool are in advanced talks with Roma over a loan deal for 29-year-old Greek left-back Kostas Tsimikas. Jürgen Klopp, the Reds' manager, has identified Sweden international Alexander Isak, a 25-year-old forward, as his top attacking target. Liverpool are preparing to offer a staggering £130m for Isak, potentially making him the most expensive signing in Premier League history.
