In the heart of Riga, amidst the ongoing conflict, the choir "Your Friends/Tavi draugi" continues to rehearse at the Ukrainian donation hangar, located on Ventspils Street 50. The choir's artistic director, Emīlija Marta Paidere, believes that these rehearsals serve as a symbol of resilience and continuity, reminding everyone that Ukraine still needs help.

The choir, which consists of volunteers and staff from the association "Your Friends/Tavi draugi," rehearses between protective nets, currently made of snow, in a converted trench-like setting. Despite the challenging circumstances, their spirits remain high as they prepare for their first concert on December 10, 19:00, at St Peter's Church in Riga.

The concert, open to anyone who can and wants to sing, is aimed at raising funds to buy presents for the 260 war children who have written their wish lists for the Christmas Express. The Christmas Express, the recipient of the funds raised from the concert, is a musical event with a noble cause, aimed at supporting war children through this festive season.

Emilia Marta Paidere, the conductor of the choir, expresses her hope that the concert will not only be a memorable event but also a reminder of the importance of helping those in need. The choristers of "Tavi draugi" invite everyone who can and wants to sing to join them in this heartwarming musical event.

The name of the future concert venue where the choir "Tavi draugi" will perform on December 10 at 19:00 is "Konzertstätte am Park." The concert is scheduled for December 10, and all proceeds from the event will be used to buy presents for each of the 260 war children who have written their wish list for the Christmas Express.

Join "Your Friends/Tavi draugi" on December 10 at St Peter's Church in Riga, as they come together to spread joy and support for war children through the Christmas Express. Let your voice be heard in this concert of resilience and hope.
