Law enforcement agencies apprehended several wanted Czech nationals in Waldsassen

In a significant development, a 33-year-old Czech national was arrested on May 28th by the Federal Police Inspectorate (BPOLI) Waidhaus at the Waldsassen border crossing with Germany.

The individual was traveling as a passenger in a vehicle with a German license plate. During the inspection, he presented a valid Czech identity card. However, the arrest was due to two enforceable arrest warrants issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Amberg.

The offenses for which the man was wanted included fraud, threats, and online fraud. The first warrant was for a three-month imprisonment for violating the compulsory insurance law, and the second warrant was for a total of seven months imprisonment for coercion.

The Federal Police Inspectorate Waidhaus, located at Vohenstraußer Street 14, 92726 Waidhaus, is responsible for internal border search and ensuring the safety of rail passengers. Its area of responsibility includes the districts of Neustadt an der Waldnaab, Tirschenreuth, and the independent city of Weiden.

The BPOLI Waidhaus focuses on crime prevention and risk prevention in the field of railway police tasks. They work closely with the Bavarian and Czech police and the customs authorities to combat cross-border crime.

After the completion of the police measures, the individual was taken to the Weiden Prison to serve the sentences.

It should be noted that numerous other measures were taken by several public prosecutors' offices, including in Bayreuth, Kiel, and Amberg, to locate the 33-year-old.

The Federal Police Inspectorate Waidhaus operates under the Bundes Police Directorate Munich. However, the search results do not provide information about the current head of the Bundespolizeidirektion Waidhaus mentioned in the report.
