Law enforcement authorities in Poland are addressing the primary factor contributing to road mishaps
In the heart of Circular Borken, the local police authority has taken a proactive approach to ensure road safety. This week, the traffic department of the Circular Police Authority conducted speed checks at eight measuring points across the area.
The aim was clear: to combat and prevent accidents caused by excessive speed and reckless driving. The specific locations of the most serious speeding offenses were provided, with the South Circular seeing offenses outside the city on Werther Street in Bocholt, where a vehicle was clocked at 112 km/h (exceeding the permitted speed of 70 km/h), and inside the city on Raesfelder Street in Borken, where a driver was found going 79 km/h (exceeding the permitted speed of 50 km/h). Similarly, the North Circular saw offenses on Ochtruper Street in Gronau, with a vehicle exceeding the permitted speed of 70 km/h, and Fuisting Street in Ahaus, where a driver was caught going 57 km/h (exceeding the permitted speed of 30 km/h).
Out of 5,524 vehicle drivers measured, approximately 11% were found to be driving too fast, resulting in 118 fines and 516 warning fines. In one instance, a road user was found driving at nearly twice the permitted speed of 30 km/h.
These speeding offenses often result in serious consequences, even for uninvolved road users. Excessive speed and reckless driving are the primary causes of accidents in Circular Borken.
For media enquiries, the responsible person for the press department of the Kreispolizeibehörde Borken is Lea Thien. The traffic department has also provided contact information for media representatives: Sandra Biedermann, Leonie Dreier, Markus Huels, Peter Lefering, Thorsten Ohm, Muzeyyen Sander, Tina Schellberg, and can be reached at 02861-900-2222 or on their website https://borken.polizei.nrw.
While the speed checks conducted this week in Circular Borken have not been explicitly mentioned as concluded, the lack of new information suggests that they are still ongoing. The authorities remain committed to ensuring road safety in the Circular area.
