In a significant operation, three suspects were arrested in Süßen, district of Göppingen, Germany, on August 28, 2025. The suspects, a 65-year-old Greek truck driver, a 26-year-old with Turkish citizenship, and a 28-year-old with German and Turkish citizenship, were detained while attempting to smuggle approximately 300 kilograms of cocaine from Spain to Germany.

The arrest was part of an investigation initiated by a tip from the Greek police. The crime-fighting group against organized crime Baden-Württemberg, in cooperation with the Joint Narcotics Investigative Group Stuttgart and Greek authorities, carried out the operation.

The suspected cocaine was discovered in one of the truck's tanks. Alongside the drug, approximately 183,000 euros in cash were found in the escort vehicle. The arrest took place in Süßen, district of Göppingen, and the three men were subsequently arrested.

The internationally operating criminal group was suspected of attempting to smuggle the drugs from Spain to Germany. The drug in question was cocaine. Arrest warrants were issued for the arrested individuals the same day.

This seizure marks a significant blow to the illegal drug trade and demonstrates the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies across borders to combat organized crime. The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
