On Tuesday, August 26th, a special transport carrying a brand-new electric tractor unit was stopped by the Traffic Inspection of the South Hessian State Police on the A5 near Mörfelden-Walldorf.

The vehicle, which was transporting a 30-ton bucket loader destined for Belgium, was found to be overloaded by 14 percent, with the total weight and axle loads exceeding the permitted limits. The inadequate load distribution was also a concern, as it did not meet any valid regulations.

In addition to the overload, the cargo securing of the vehicle was found to be substandard, further compromising safety. As a result, the 60-year-old driver was prohibited from continuing his journey and had to unload the electric tractor unit onto a suitable vehicle.

The driver, the responsible loader, and the responsible person from the logistics company can expect fines for these violations. The police initiated a profit-taking measure, and the entrepreneur had to pay 2500 euros in advance. Over 2000 euros were collected from the logistics company to secure a potential profit-taking measure against the transport company.

It should be noted that the transport company did not have a valid permit for the entire route, and there was no escort vehicle for rear protection. The search results do not provide specific information about the entrepreneur responsible for the two overloaded and unauthorized transports of the electric truck combination and the excavator truck mentioned in the article.

Fines and points in Flensburg are still pending for the driver and the responsible parties. The South Hessian State Police Headquarters Press Office can provide further details for any additional questions.
