On the morning of September 1st, a neighbourly dispute escalated into a police incident in a multi-family home on Brinkmannstraße, Dortmund. According to a police report (Case No.: 0758), the dispute involved a 49-year-old man and a 52-year-old neighbour from the same building.

Initial findings suggest that the 49-year-old man insulted the 52-year-old neighbour around 6:00 AM, which led to a heated argument. When police officers attempted to make contact, the man brandished an axe or similar object in a threatening manner, causing them to retreat.

The man was later taken into police custody and processed. However, the suspect's identity has not been identified in the available search results. It should be noted that the consumption of intoxicating substances could not be definitively ruled out during the incident.

The 49-year-old man exhibited mood swings and insulted the officers during his detention. Despite this, no one was injured during the incident. The man then returned to his apartment and was later persuaded to exit his apartment unarmed.

Criminal proceedings were initiated against the suspect for insult and threat. No special circumstances were found for remand. No further information is available about the outcome of the situation or any charges filed.

This incident is not the first time there has been a disturbance in the building. There had been a previous incident involving noise disturbance in the night. The Dortmund Police are urging residents to maintain peace and respect their neighbours to ensure a harmonious living environment.
