Woman Arrested for Traveling Without a Ticket on an ICE Train While Highly Intoxicated

On Saturday night at around 00:20, a 32-year-old German national found herself in a peculiar situation at Hamburg-Harburg station. The woman, from Lower Saxony's Nienburg (Weser) district, was traveling on an ICE train from Bremen to Hamburg when she became heavily intoxicated due to excessive alcohol consumption beyond normal limits.

Upon arrival at Harburg station, a patrol team from the Federal Police found the woman asleep in the train. All attempts to wake her for questioning failed. A breathalyzer test at Harburg station showed a reading of 2.21 promille, indicating a significantly high blood alcohol level.

Due to her inability to produce a ticket or any form of identification to a train conductor, the woman was taken into custody by the Federal Police. The incident does not provide any new details about the consequences of the incident or the woman's identity.

The woman was lovingly cared for and put to bed for the night at Harburg station. The 32-year-old spent a night in a holding cell to sleep off her intoxication, following a doctor's approval. On Sunday morning at 9:00, she was released.

It is worth noting that this incident occurred just two days after a similar incident involving a heavily intoxicated passenger at the same station. This instance serves as a reminder to exercise caution and responsibility, especially when traveling on public transport.

The woman is now facing a criminal proceeding for "Suspicion of fraud - traveling without a ticket on a train". The search results do not provide the identity of the person who was released on Sunday morning after a night in a detention cell and is under investigation for this suspected offence.
