Leased Out: Restaurant Space in Bürgerhaus Wieseck Secured by a New Tenant
In an exciting development for the city of Wieseck, the Stadtwerke GmbH Gießen has announced the selection of a new operator for the catering business at Bürgerhaus Wieseck. The tender, which closed at the end of March, attracted a total of ten applications. Adnan Topcu, the owner of a service agency for private events, and his head chef Davut Akar, were chosen for the coveted position.
The duo's new catering establishment, named "Wieseck BürgerTreff", is set to offer a range of services, including event catering at Bürgerhaus Wieseck, the regular operation of the restaurant, and the beer garden. The beer garden operation is expected to start as soon as possible, ideally in July or August, with the restaurant following suit at the beginning of the fall.
"Wieseck BürgerTreff" will be a culinary, social, and cultural meeting point for all Wieseck residents and visitors. The menu will feature traditional German dishes like beef roulade, pork roast, and cheese spaetzle, as well as offerings for families, children, vegans, vegetarians, and seasonal specialties. The prices at "Wieseck BürgerTreff" will be affordable for all guests.
Astrid Eibelshäuser, city councilor and chairperson of the supervisory board, appreciates the number of qualified applications received for the tender. She expressed her delight at the selection process's completion, stating, "We are looking forward to the opening of 'Wieseck BürgerTreff' and the vibrant atmosphere it will bring to Bürgerhaus Wieseck."
Adnan Topcu's objectives align with those of the Stadtwerke GmbH (SHG). He aims to develop Bürgerhaus Wieseck and the catering establishment into a hub for the city, creating a meeting place for all Wieseck residents and visitors. With the experienced chef Davut Akar at the helm, "Wieseck BürgerTreff" is set to become a beloved addition to the city's dining scene.
