Traffic Restrictions and Parking Bans for Upcoming Music Events at Burg Trausnitz

Residents and visitors of the city should be aware of traffic restrictions and parking bans that will be in effect in the area of Edmund-Jörg-Straße and a section of Kalcherstraße on August 26 and 27, 2025.

From Tuesday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, and on Wednesday, 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM, a no-stopping zone will be enforced along Edmund-Jörg-Straße and a section of Kalcherstraße, between Gerhard-Hauptmann-Straße and Edmund-Jörg-Straße. This includes both sides of Edmund-Jörg-Straße and the entire section of Kalcherstraße mentioned.

These traffic restrictions are in place for the safety of an upcoming music event at Burg Trausnitz, which will take place on the same days. Immediate access roads will also be closed during the same time period.

Visitors are advised that there are no parking spaces available in the vicinity of the castle. However, a shuttle service will be provided from the exhibition parking lot for event attendees.

It is important to note that the traffic restrictions apply to everyone except residents, people with disabilities, suppliers, organisers of the event, and visitors to the event. The restrictions are also implemented to maintain traffic flow and ensure access for fire and emergency vehicles.

The no-stopping zone and road closures are necessary for the safety of the event, and the castle is in the vicinity of the event. So, it is recommended that visitors avoid parking in the area surrounding the castle.

We encourage everyone to plan their travel accordingly and follow the traffic restrictions to ensure a smooth and safe event experience.
