Liquid limit restriction at Romania's Sibiu Airport is now abolished, allowing for more convenience in air travel.

Commencing September 5, Sibiu International Airport will no longer enforce limitations on carry-on liquids. Passengers may now bring containers of up to two liters into the aircraft cabin, effectively dissolving the decade-old 100 ml per container regulation.

Liquid restrictions at Romania's Sibiu International Airport have been eased, now allowing passengers to carry 100 ml of liquids.

Liquid limit restriction at Romania's Sibiu Airport is now abolished, allowing for more convenience in air travel.

The Avram Iancu International Airport in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, has made a significant stride in modernising its security measures. As the first airport in the country to implement this change, it has deployed five C3 standard Explosive Detection System for Cabin Baggage (EDSCB) scanners across all passenger checkpoints.

These state-of-the-art scanners allow security staff to screen liquids without the need for passengers to place them in small containers or separate plastic bags, making the screening process more efficient and convenient. However, the airport has not specified whether all five scanners are currently operational.

The new security measures are aimed at providing modern security conditions for all travelers, ensuring a faster, safer, and more comfortable travel experience. The airport claims this upgrade is a significant step towards ensuring the highest standards of security for its passengers.

Meanwhile, Sibiu International Airport is also set to adopt these new rules starting September 5. Passengers will no longer be restricted by the 100 ml limit per container that has been in place across Europe for nearly two decades. Instead, they will be able to carry containers of up to two liters of liquids, gels, and aerosols in their hand luggage.

The first passengers to take advantage of these new rules, outside of Cluj-Napoca, will be those on Wizz Air's Sibiu-Vienna flight, scheduled for departure at 06:00 on September 5. Unfortunately, the search results do not contain information about which airline will adopt the new liquid carry-on regulations at Sibiu International Airport.

In Cluj-Napoca, the rule change was implemented starting Wednesday, September 3. The new baggage rules are more flexible due to the removal of the 100 ml limit per container, making travel more convenient for passengers. However, the airport has not yet confirmed whether it has lifted all restrictions on the volume of liquids, aerosols, and gels that passengers can carry in their hand luggage.

As the aviation industry continues to adapt to changing security needs, airports like the Avram Iancu International Airport in Cluj-Napoca are leading the way in providing modern, efficient, and secure travel experiences for passengers.
