Live Coverage: England vs Andorra match in the World Cup qualifiers – Start time, squad updates, and streaming details
England is set to take on Andorra at Villa Park on September 6, marking the first time the Three Lions have played at the venue since February 2005. The match will be a crucial World Cup qualifier, with England aiming to maintain their perfect record in the competition so far.
Thomas Tuchel, the England manager, named a 24-man squad for the matches against Andorra and Serbia last Friday. The squad includes a mix of established stars and promising young talents. In the midfield, Elliot Anderson, Morgan Gibbs-White, Jordan Henderson, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Declan Rice, and Morgan Rogers have been selected.
Unfortunately, Adam Wharton had to withdraw from the squad due to injury. However, Bayer Leverkusen defender Jarell Quansah has joined the senior squad, adding fresh talent to the defence. The defensive line-up also includes Dan Burn, Marc Guehi, Reece James, Ezri Konsa, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Tino Livramento, Djed Spence, John Stones, and Jarell Quansah.
Upfront, Harry Kane, Aaron Bowen, Eberechi Eze, Anthony Gordon, Marcus Rashford, Ollie Watkins, and Noni Madueke will aim to continue England's goal-scoring form. The absence of Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka, and Cole Palmer due to injuries will undoubtedly be felt, but Tuchel will be hoping for a strong performance from the remaining forwards.
In goal, Dean Henderson, Jordan Pickford, and James Trafford will battle it out for the starting spot. The absence of Real Madrid's new signing Trent Alexander-Arnold from the squad will also be noticeable, but Tuchel has a wealth of talent to choose from.
England comes into the match on the back of a 1-0 victory over Andorra in their previous encounter in June, with Harry Kane scoring the only goal of the game. However, Tuchel has called for a 'different energy' from his players after their underwhelming performances in June.
Fans can listen to the match on talkSPORT through the website, app, DAB digital radio, smart speakers, and 1089 or 1053 AM. Live updates will also be provided on talkSPORT.com. For those who prefer a visual experience, the match will be broadcast live on ITV, ITVX, and talkSPORT. Kick-off is scheduled for 5pm on September 6.
The next World Cup qualifier for England is against Andorra at Villa Park on September 6. With England having won each of their opening three qualifiers, they will be hoping to continue their impressive form and secure another victory against Andorra.
