Local authorities in Fürth have closed the Landrat and Value-houses every Tuesday afternoon.
Landratsamt Fuerth and Waste Recycling Centres to Close on Shrove Tuesday
Residents of Zirndorf, Fuerth, and the surrounding areas have been informed that several key municipal offices and waste recycling centres will be closed on Shrove Tuesday, 13th February 2024.
The Landratsamt Fuerth offices in both Zirndorf and Fuerth, as well as the district waste recycling centres in Zirndorf/Rangau and Langenzenn/Horbach, will all be closed from 12:00 PM on Shrove Tuesday. This closure is scheduled to last for the entire day.
The closure affects both the Landratsamt offices and the waste recycling centres. The Landratsamt offices will be operational until midday on the 13th, after which they will be closed until the following day. The waste recycling centres, however, will remain closed until Thursday, reopening at 8:00 AM.
From Ash Wednesday, the employees of the Landratsamt will be available during their regular business hours. It is important to note that the closure on Shrove Tuesday does not affect the availability of the Landratsamt staff after Ash Wednesday.
At the time of writing, the name of the head of the Landratsamt Fürth who announced the office closure on Shrove Tuesday has not been disclosed.
This closure is not an unusual occurrence, with many businesses and public services closing on Shrove Tuesday as it is a significant religious holiday in Germany.
Residents are advised to plan their visits to the Landratsamt offices and waste recycling centres accordingly, to ensure they can complete any necessary tasks before the closure on Shrove Tuesday.
