Local business, Chubby Cattle, prepares to launch in Cerritos, despite an ongoing egg recall allegedly linked to Salmonella.

In a series of recent developments, several food products have been recalled due to potential Salmonella contamination. Here's a breakdown of the affected products and the regions they were distributed in.

Expanded Recall in Canada

Disney licensed chocolate products and Organic Traditions branded sprouted flax seed powder and sprouted chia powder products are under recall in Canada. This recall is not related to the Salmonella outbreak linked to Country Eggs, LLC.

Salmonella Outbreak Linked to Country Eggs, LLC

A Salmonella outbreak has been linked to eggs distributed by Country Eggs, LLC. The recall covers Country Eggs, LLC large brown cage-free "sunshine yolks" and "omega-3 golden yolks" distributed between June 16-July 9, 2025, in California and Nevada. Those who experience symptoms after consuming the recalled eggs are advised to seek medical care.

It's important to note that the recalled Organic Traditions products were not distributed in California or Nevada, and the recall in Canada is not related to the Organic Traditions products recall.

Affected Products

The recalled eggs were sold in cartons and bulk packs to stores and food distributors. They were sold under the brand names Nagatoshi Produce, Misuho, and Nijiya Markets, marked with code CA 7695 and sell-by dates between July 1 and September 18, 2025. Consumers are advised not to eat the recalled eggs and to check packaging labels carefully.

More Kinder Products Under Recall

More Kinder products are under recall in Canada due to an outbreak of Salmonella infections in Europe. However, the search results do not specify the name of the company responsible for distributing the eggs linked to the Salmonella outbreak in the United States in August 2025.

New Business Opening

Moving away from recalls, Chubby Cattle, a yakiniku chain, is opening a new location in Cerritos' 183rd Plaza in Spring 2025. The chain serves all-you-can-eat grilled wagyu beef at three pricing tiers ranging from $55 to $85.

For those affected by the recalled products, it's crucial to discard or return them. Residents who believe they became ill after eating recalled products can file a report at redcap.link/foodcomplaint. Stay safe and be vigilant about the food you consume.
