The police precinct responsible for investigating a series of break-ins in the cities of Bottrop, Marl, Castrop-Rauxel, Datteln, and Recklinghausen is the Polizeipräsidium Recklinghausen. This authority handles investigations in the area following reports of burglaries.

Last weekend, a break-in occurred at the Böckenheckstraße youth center in Datteln. The details of the incident are still unclear, as it's not yet known if anything was stolen from the youth center. Unknown perpetrators gained access to the building through a smashed glass door and a manhole cover.

In a separate incident, a break-in took place at a semi-detached house on Hellweg in Datteln between Friday (17:00) and Sunday (21:30). No further information about the stolen goods or if anything was stolen has been provided.

Meanwhile, in Marl, two suspected burglars were scared off. On Saturday afternoon at 11:50, they attempted to break into a single-family house on Holsteiner Straße. The first suspect was a man in his 30s, with broad shoulders, dark, full hair, a beard, wearing a pink shirt, and dark pants. The second man was small and slim, wearing a light shirt, a cap, and had a black triangle cloth covering his mouth and nose.

In Bottrot, a suspected burglar was seen fleeing on Friday afternoon at 17:15, on the street "Unterberg". The individual was approximately 1.80 meters tall, athletic, slim, aged 20-25, and wore a green backpack, dark pants, and a light cap.

A break-in occurred to a ground-floor apartment in Bottrot on Friday afternoon, and the unknown individual entered the apartment through a window, searched several rooms, and stole cash and jewelry.

Between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, unknown perpetrators gained access to a butcher's shop in Recklinghausen on Salentinstraße. They removed a window grille, smashed the window, and fled with cash through the entry point.
