On the 24th and 25th of May, garden enthusiasts are in for a treat as Birgit Lange and Nadescha Kopka open their gardens as part of the 'GartenLiebe' event series, organised by the Habichtswald Nature Park.

In Besse, Birgit Lange's cottage garden is a vibrant display of various vegetables, salad greens, and herbs. Visitors can expect a farm-to-table experience as they stroll through her garden, with the opportunity to try homemade green sauce on both days.

Nadescha Kopka, who revived the garden she manages in Edermünde Besse in 2018, will also be opening her garden to the public. Last year, she transformed a neighbouring garden into a diverse and colourful organic garden, providing a recreational oasis for humans and animals alike.

The 'GartenLiebe' event series is a service of the city marketing, providing news from Kassel, Landkreis Kassel, and the North Hesse region. The gardens, located at Gaenseweide 1 and 2 in Edermünde Besse, will be open for visit from 12 pm on both days, and entry is free.
