Luner concert series kicks off in its 16th season
The Luener concert series, a regional chamber music flagship, is set to begin its 16th season in September 2025. The series, which consists of five concerts, will once again be under the artistic direction of Susanne and Dinis Schemann.
The journey commences on Saturday, 20th September 2025, at 8 pm, in the Hansesaal Luenen, with internationally renowned artists Andrey Godik (Oboe), Christoph Eß (Horn), and Evgenia Rubinova (Piano) taking centre stage. The first concert's program includes works by R. Schumann, C. Reinecke, and H. von Herzogenberg.
The second concert, scheduled for Saturday, 22nd November 2025, at 8 pm, will feature the Barbican String Quartet. The second concert in the series also takes place in the Hansesaal Luenen.
As the season progresses, audiences can look forward to the vocal ensemble amarcord, internationally celebrated for its unique sound, bringing humor, emotion, and virtuosity to the stage on Saturday, 17th January 2026, at 8 pm. The program for this concert will showcase American vocal music by A. Copland, S. Barber, C. Porter, and others.
On Saturday, 7th March 2026, at 8 pm, the spotlight will be on Dinis Schemann on the piano, performing works by L. v. Beethoven and F. Chopin. The concert in April will see the chamber orchestra l'arte del mondo under the direction of Werner Ehrhardt presenting "The most beautiful discoveries" - Works by W. A. Mozart, J. Mysliveček, and others. This concert is scheduled for Saturday, 25th April 2026, at 8 p.m.
Ticket sales for the Luener concert series are now open. Single tickets at the box office cost 30 €, reduced 15 €. A subscription offers up to 40 percent savings compared to individual purchase. The ticket prices for the Luener concert series remain stable for the 16th season. A subscription (5 concerts) costs 95 €, reduced 55 €.
