Malissa Miles Sues Caesars and Linq Owner Over 2023 Assault, Brain Injury
Malissa Danielle Miles has filed a lawsuit against multiple entities, including Caesars Entertainment, following an alleged assault at Off The Strip Bistro & Bar in June 2023. The incident resulted in Miles suffering a traumatic brain injury.
Miles claims she was attacked by two unknown women at the bistro, which is located within The Linq Hotel. She alleges that security personnel at the hotel failed to respond adequately to her medical emergency after the assault. Despite Caesars Entertainment no longer owning The Linq Hotel, having sold it in late 2024, Miles is suing the company due to its ownership at the time of the incident. Andrew Belmonti, the current owner of the property, is also named in the lawsuit. Miles is seeking damages exceeding $15,000, special damages, interest, attorney's fees, and other relief from the court.
The lawsuit, which was recently made public, adds another layer to the ongoing legal complexities surrounding the ownership and management of The Linq Hotel. Miles' allegations of negligence by the security personnel and the subsequent sale of the property to a new owner have raised questions about the responsibilities and liabilities of both the previous and current owners.
