Man under the influence, sauntering along the opposing side of the road, oblivious to oncoming traffic in Klettgau

On December 4, 2024, a collision involving a car and a truck occurred on the L 163/Schaffhauser Straße between Riedern am Sand and Grießen in Freiburg. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

According to the police, the 27-year-old driver of the car veered off his lane and collided with the truck. The truck driver, who was 52 years old, was not affected by the accident.

At the scene, the 27-year-old driver showed signs of being under the influence. A breathalyzer test revealed a reading over 2 promille, and a subsequent blood test confirmed the initial results. As a result, the driver's license of the 27-year-old was confiscated.
