Manchester United's Ruben Amorim encounters increased worries, potentially missing the forthcoming match against Manchester City

Manchester United are gearing up for their next Premier League fixture against Manchester City, a match that promises to be their biggest test yet, less than a fortnight away. The Red Devils are seeking back-to-back victories following their 3-2 win against Burnley in their last outing.

The result against Burnley has provided a glimmer of hope, suggesting that Manchester United are moving in the right direction. The turning point came in the final moments of the game when Bruno Fernandes scored a stoppage-time penalty to secure the win.

However, the team faces a challenge with the injury to Diogo Dalot. The Portuguese defender has been ruled out due to a muscle strain, which forced him to withdraw from Portugal's national team camp and also caused him to miss Manchester United’s match against Manchester City before the visit to the Etihad Stadium. He remains unavailable for selection due to this injury.

If Dalot is unable to play, Amad Diallo is likely to deputise as the right-sided wing-back for Manchester United. Diallo, known for his attacking prowess, is a more attacking player than Dalot, which could provide an interesting dynamic to the team's strategy.

The departure of Dalot from the Portugal national team squad was also due to 'muscular discomfort'. It was hoped a full pre-season under head coach Ruben Amorim and the arrival of a new attacking trio would galvanise Manchester United. Over the summer transfer window, the club spent Β£200 million on new attacking players.

Diogo Dalot has started in each of Manchester United's three Premier League fixtures this season and completed the full 90 minutes in the game against Burnley. Amad Diallo, on the other hand, has yet to feature in the Premier League this season, but he did play in Manchester United's Carabao Cup match against Grimsby Town.

Should Diallo get the nod against Manchester City, he will face a tough test against City's wide attackers. The match will be a significant opportunity for him to showcase his skills and prove his worth in the team.

Manchester United will be looking to build on their recent victory and continue their positive momentum against Manchester City. With Diogo Dalot out, the spotlight is on Amad Diallo to step up and make a difference.
