Mario Kart Tour's 2nd Anniversary Celebration Kicks Off

The popular mobile game, Mario Kart Tour, is celebrating its 2nd anniversary with a series of exciting events and special offers. The celebration began on September 21st and will continue until October 5th, 2021 at 10:59 p.m. PT.

During this period, players can participate in the 2nd Anniversary Challenges and earn rubies. The challenges are part of two City Racer Pipes – Pipe 1 and Pipe 2 – each offering a unique lineup of drivers.

City Racer Pipe 1, available from September 21st to 28th, includes drivers like Mario (Racing) and Baby Peach (Cherub). The favored courses for these drivers will include the second course of every cup for the duration of the 2nd Anniversary Tour, as well as the third course of every cup for the 1st Anniversary Tour. The included Tour gift for all players is the Kart Green Kiddie Kart.

City Racer Pipe 2, available from September 28th at 11 p.m. PT until October 5th at 10:59 p.m. PT, includes drivers like Rosalina (Aurora) and Baby Mario (Koala). The 2nd Anniversary Pipe 2 also brings back characters like Mario (Musician), Waluigi (Bus Driver), Baby Rosalina (Detective), Mario (Baseball), Luigi (Lederhosen), and more.

For those with a Mario Kart Tour Gold Pass subscription, additional rewards are available. These include the Driver Gold Koopa (Freerunning), Glider Gold Glider, Kart Gold Train, and Kart Gold Pipe Frame as Tour gifts.

The 2nd Anniversary Tour also features limited-time events based on real-world cities, such as New York Minute 4 and the return of Paris Promenade, London Loop, and Tokyo Blur. These events promise an immersive and engaging gaming experience.

The Mario Kart Tour games were developed by Kosuke Yabuki, along with Yugo Hayashi and Shinya Fujiwara, and produced by Hideki Konno. The game was developed by Nintendo EPD.
