In today's market, the Nifty 50 index experienced a minor fluctuation, trading at 24,810.10, reflecting a decrease of 0.38%. The Sensex followed a similar trend, currently standing at 80,906.22, marking an increase of 0.42%.
One of the top-performing stocks of the day was Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, with a price of 3,474.20 INR and a change of 5.73%. Other notable performers include Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd, trading at 7,874.00 INR with a change of 1.78%, and Nestle India Ltd, priced at 1,216.00 INR with a change of 1.77%.
On the flip side, Tata Consumer Products Ltd faced significant declines, with a price of 1,078.50 INR and a change of -2.35%. HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd also underperformed, trading at 763.55 INR with a change of -1.66%.
The banking sector showed mixed performance. While the Nifty Bank index stood at 54,200.00, marking an increase of 0.24%, individual stocks like Grasim Industries Ltd and Bajaj Finserv Ltd posted impressive gains. Grasim Industries was priced at 2,830.40 INR with a change of 1.76%, and Bajaj Finserv traded at 2,011.00 INR with a change of 2.28%.
Bajaj Finance Ltd also made it to the list of top performers, trading at 935.50 INR with a change of 4.37%. Trent Ltd, another top-performing stock, was priced at 5,609.50 INR with a change of 2.38%.
Notable events outside the stock market include Anil Ambani facing fresh trouble as a bank declares RCom loan accounts as fraud. Google has been fined USD 381 million in France for a specific reason.
