Mayor's pizza dining encounter

In the heart of Hanau, a vibrant city in Germany, a pizza dinner at the Newstadt Town Hall marked the beginning of a new chapter for 20 young individuals. Mayor Dr. Maximilian Bieri welcomed the new trainees and students, who will be joining various fields within the city administration and the Hanau Infrastructure Service public utility company.

The new recruits will be working in diverse roles, including administrative assistants, media and information services specialists, gardeners, cemetery gardeners, vehicle mechatronics technicians, road builders, funeral services professionals, industrial mechanics, and a dual student pursuing the "Bachelor of Arts - Digital Administration." One of the digital administration students is Tyler Sommer, who is eager to embark on this new journey.

Joining Tyler in October will be five more students, who will be studying Public Administration and Social Work. This influx of talent is a testament to the city's commitment to nurturing young minds and providing them with valuable practical experience.

For those interested in joining the ranks of these trainees, the application deadline for the training year 2026 is currently open. Interested parties can contact Nicole Wolf at 06181/295-303 for information about training positions, individual job profiles, and requirements. All details about the training opportunities with the city of Hanau can be found on the internet at www.ausbildung.hanau.de.

The city's current training programme boasts a total of 55 young individuals receiving vocational training. The second-year trainees have taken on the role of mentors, providing guidance and support to the new recruits during their induction phase. This mentorship programme ensures a smooth transition for the new trainees, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
