"Mayor's Query Advances to Next Stage"
In the town of Neuwied, a new initiative has been launched to ensure that the voices of its youngest residents are heard. The "Ask the Mayor" events, part of the "Child-Friendly Municipality" action plan, provide a platform for children and young people to express their ideas, wishes, and concerns directly to Mayor Peter Jung.
Mayor Jung visits schools, kindergartens, clubs, and public playgrounds to listen to the thoughts of Neuwied's children. These events, which were originally held once a quarter, have been increased to seven this year due to the consistently positive response.
The "Ask the Mayor" events contribute significantly to the goals of the "Child-Friendly Municipality" initiative. After each event, there is a response to children and young people about which of their suggestions have been implemented and what the next steps are.
One such event will take place at the playground in the Goethe Gardens on September 14th from 3 pm. Mayor Peter Jung personally ensures that children's suggestions are implemented as quickly as possible.
These events are more than just a chance for children to be heard. They provide a platform for children and young people to see that their concerns are taken seriously and that they can make a difference. The "Ask the Mayor" events are a significant part of Mayor Peter Jung's commitment to direct participation and active listening to children and young people.
The town of Neuwied is committed to ensuring that the voices of its youngest residents are heard. The annual report informs the youth council and the city council about the topics discussed during these events. The "Child-Friendly Municipality" initiative aims to ensure that the town's youngest residents are not only heard but that their concerns are actively pursued and implemented.
The "Ask the Mayor" events are open to all children and young people in Neuwied. They offer a unique opportunity for the town's youngest residents to engage with their local government and help shape the future of their community. The next opportunity for children to ask questions and receive answers from Mayor Peter Jung is on September 14th.
