"Medieval-esque City Now Easily Accessible: New Direct Flight from Hamburg Airport"
airBaltic, the Latvian airline, is set to include Tallinn, Estonia's vibrant capital, in its flight network from Hamburg, Germany. This new connection underscores airBaltic's commitment at Hamburg Airport and is part of the airline's continuous growth at the location.
Beginning March 29, 2026, Hamburg Airport will offer direct flights to Tallinn. Initially, there will be one flight each on Thursday and Sunday in the summer schedule. From September, flights will be available on Wednesday and Sunday as well, providing more convenience for travellers.
Dirk Behrens from Hamburg Airport expressed his pleasure about the inclusion of Tallinn in the flight network, while Mantas Vrubliauskas from the airline is equally pleased about the new connection between Hamburg and Tallinn. Unfortunately, the name of the airline representative based in Tallinn who is also pleased about the new route could not be ascertained.
Tallinn, with its medieval charm and modern vibe, is a destination that Hamburg Airport is promoting. The city offers a pulsating nightlife, historic trams for rides, and popular destinations like Kadriorg Park and the Estonian Maritime Museum. The Alexander-Newski Cathedral is another notable attraction.
The new route ensures that all three Baltic capitals - Riga, Vilnius, and Tallinn - are directly connected to Northern Germany via Hamburg Airport. This is expected to make it easier for business travelers and vacationers from both regions to meet.
In addition, a special issue of MOPO, the magazine of the Hamburger Abendblatts, is featuring Tallinn, Estonia this week. The publication highlights the city as an ideal destination for city travelers seeking something special.
Moreover, Tallinn's innovative start-up scene adds to its allure. The city's blend of history and modernity promises an exciting travel experience for those venturing to the Baltic region.
With the new route, airBaltic is not just expanding its flight network, but also opening up new possibilities for travel and business between Germany and Estonia.
